"Business intelligence" stands for all the expert information, knowledge and technologies efficient in the management of organizational and individual business. It is a broad category of applications and methods for gathering, providing access to data information, and analyzing data for the purpose of helping enterprise users make better business decisions. Business Intelligence enable organizations to make well informed business decisions and thus can be the source of competitive advantages. It can eliminate a lot of the guesswork within an organization, enhance communication among departments while coordinating activities, and enable companies to respond quickly to changes in financial conditions, customer preferences, and supply chain operations.
The goal of our course is to introduce the students to the business intelligence and prepare them for their future career. The knowledge of this subject will improve their results and the results of the companies they´re working for. Finally we can say that, in our life of technological progress and optimized business solutions, each of the students should have some basic erudition in the field of Business Inteligence.
The participants in our event will have the chance to get some theoretical and practical knowledge from leading Bulgarian lectors and use the most contemporary business intelligence software. The three base points of the academical part are:
1.Introduction to modern business environment and Business Intelligence.
2.Development and implementation of Business Intelligence initiatives. Life cycle and business requirements.
3.Business Intelligence architecture. Second generation BI systems products, platforms, integration examples.
